I got in-country September 19th 1966, after “P” training in Phan Rang joined COBRA Co. in Tuy Hoa. Got dysentery within a couple weeks and spent six weeks in a hospital in Nha Trang. When I got back to the company they were in Kontum.

December 6th 1966, I was either in a rifle squad or an ammo bearer until I took the radio in April 1967. Kept the radio until I left the field in Duc Pho August 1967.

I extended for six months, and was in Phan Rang until April 1968.

I went to Germany with 1st 509th Mech. Inf. ABN until discharge 23 Feb ’69.

Married to Linda since 1978. I have two daughters, and 3 grandchildren.

I have been an union ironworker, local 496, since 1976 and will retire in March 2005.
