My recruiting sgt the late SSG Stuart Albert Gerlisky was at HHC Company before going into recruiting.

We had the same battalion commander LTC Ohle.

SSG Gerlisky was there from 1981 - 1983 and I was there from 1984 - 1986.

I just found out that 3rd Battalion / 327th Infantry known as "Battleforce" was retired in August 2005.

What a shock !!! !

Just returned from 2Btn C/237 reunion in Crossville, TN. June 2007. Helped me with closure by knowing the men who served with my brother Lt. Mike Callaway (KIA 68/3/21). Thank you men for your friendship, honesty, welcoming me and my wife to your annual reunion, and information that was not available to me since 3/21/1968. Keep in touch. NO SLACK

man where does one start was assigned just before the push in the ash shaw valley before the tec assigned as a asst m-60 gunner became the gunner in the first fire fight became a medic in the middle of the second then a trip to the hospital in japan back in time for a trip to eagle nest back to the hospital and so on spend most of my life trying understand why I came home at all. There is a part of me that never did make it home and again too much of what I did to others did-guess peace will come in the end. For all those who came back from the front lines and made something out of the rest of their lives god bless-for those still trying to fine the high ground god bless-for those sill trying to make it I and others are and will always be there for you just make yourself known-became a drill instructor at fort dix then a gareer couselor-now just a vet-looking for the sun rise and set each day. always wanting to know is any war worth the pain - peace to ya

Some months ago i decided to adopt a grave of an American soldier buried in the Margraten Cemetery in Holland. I have always felt deep respect for those heroes who gave their lives for my freedom.
i have adopted the grave of 1/Lt. Daniel F. Dorman of the 327th Gliders, 101st airborne division.
I know that he died of wounds on October 10th 1944 in Holland during Market Garden but i would like to know more info on this hero, hopfully anyone will be able to help me.
If you have any info at all about him or know where i can find out more about him, please mail me at;

drop_me_a_note@live.nl

Thank you so much for your help so far.

Hello Brothers of the 327. I was with Alpha Co. 1/327 vietnam 1970-71. I am trying to get the word out about the just released book, An Enormous Crime. This is a must read for every service person and their family's.
It chronicles the attempt to bring our POW's home from Vietnam that were left behind in 1973. This is not a book of heresay. It is archival, declassified documents that show how each presidential administration has either covered up or just ignored the fact that there were approx. 700 live americans that were left. Whether they are alive or dead now it doesn't matter but we as a nation and especially as veterans owe it to our brothers that gave their all in vietnam to raise OUR voice as we did March 2007 in Washington DC for the Gathering of the Eagle and make it known that WE want our brothers home to their family's.
Get the book. Read the book. Pass it on to the next brother or your family member. Then write your congressman, Senator, and especially the President and demand for action. It has gone on long enough.
Thanks.
Mil "Bigdog" Thornton

While watching the motocycle parade at DC this Memorial Day weekend, I started a converstion with the guy standing next to me who was also a Vietnam Veteran. I asked him who he was with and he stated he was with the 327th. About blew my socks off. His name is Lloyd Williams and he was with C Co. 2nd/327th from Sept '68 to Sept '69. I asked him if he has been to the 327th web-site and he said he isn't to computer literate. Any way he wanted to let anyone who knew him that he is still alive and well, living in Hunstville, Alabama.
