Hi, again! I originally posted a note on this site 10/07...page 17 I think...asking if anyone was a person of prayer to remember my son who was currently serving in Iraq with C-Co 1/327th INF. Now I would like to thank all of you who were faithful in that request...as he served 15 months at Patrol Base Woodcock and returned 11/08 without physical injury! Thanks be to God, Protecter of us all! I am proud of my soldier...they were on the front line this deployment...it wasnt easy and Im sure, not pleasant at times. I have posted his photo on www.soldierwall.com His name is John Luke Boyles...page 57...line...849...photo # 6 Page 57..line...849..photo#7 is Ryan Campbell his best friend...C-Co 2/327th INF NO SLACK! I have some photos on my profile on myspace in my "Soldier" albumn. My profile is public if you want to check it out: www.myspace.com/kellyboyles1962 Thanks to ALL of you who have served...carry on, soldiers!

2nd Generation Screaming Eagle. My father,
CSM (R) Eckenrod served with No Slack 69/70. He passed 18 months ago and I wanted you all to know that even after battling sickness for years, he never complained. Towards the end, he focused on the war, our soldiers, our fallen. first time in 44 years I ever saw him cry. He loved all of you and you were in his heart till he took his last breath.

Be safe. God Speed. You are all in our prayers evernight.

I read a message from Robert (Bob) Keck from Tampa, FL. I commanded Charlie Company during the period of May 1967 to September 1967 and if Bob is interested in connecting with fellow 327th troopers he should join the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the 101st Association. They have a great Chapter with about 100 members. I have just recently moved from Tampa to Pompano Beach and I am a member of that chapter. The people to contact are Dick Pack at e-mail ranger.pack@verizon.net or call (941) 722-1330 he is President of the Chapter or call, e-mail Jack Noland as he is our Chapter Secretary. His info is e-mail jnolan7@tampabay.rr.com, tele (727) 797-7706. You can also call me at (954) 532-0722. NFS!!

Cco.Dco. 1-327th 2001 to 2005. I like the fact that they have a site so that vets can contact each other, i dont like how most of the pics of the Iraq War are of the the General or some Col. What about the guys that were actually out there doing the fighting? What about the guys who were there on day one? Perhaps you need an area where people can submit pics if you dont have any. And who the hell is this Tiffany chick and who are all those guys in those pics, sure dont look like infantrymen, why are they on the page? Perhaps you should get some Infantryman putting pics on instead of some support group. Makes sense right? It would be nice for soldiers to come to our battalions page and relive some memories, not come here and see absolutely nothing. Page is WEAK!!!

327th Brothers, Family and Friends,
On this Christmas Eve I want to wish you and all those you love a very Blessed Christmas!
For those of you who I served with in 2nd Platoon A Co. No Slack, there is no Christmas that I remember more then the one we spent in Nuoc Ngot Vil at the Catholic Orphanage 1969. That Christmas Day 39 years ago, we had nothing, but we had each other and for that my brothers I will never forget you.
Merry Christmas!

First I hope everyone has happy holidays.
I was medic with C co 2/327 in 1967. Was thinking about my Vietnam experience this morning. I had Malaria and came back out to the field to soon, one day I could not keep up and fell behing on a long hump. A member of the platoon stayed behind with me, I often wonder what happened to him, His name was Cole, and he was from Michigan. Obviously we made it and caught up with the rest of the guys. I also had some friends in the medical clearing station in the rear area, Lynch was from NJ,Gudlap from RI, Dostal and a guy whose nickname was Fannie,I am pretty sure the last 2 extended to go to the LRRP platoon. I would apreciate hearing from anyone who knows anything about any of these folks.
