I am needing help locating TONY MORANO. He was in Co D, 2/327th, July 68-69. He was able to attend the Woodstock Festival only days after being released from the Army. Last I knew, Tony was living in New Jersey and working in NYC.

I would like to make contact with any Delta, No Slack men. Check on the Delta rooster found on this website at

and see if you recognize any of the names it has listed and click on a name to see further info.

Great job on the website.

I went over on the boat, was in "A" Btry 2/320 Arty. I really disliked being in artillery so when one of our FO sections were all killed in Sept. 65, I volunteered for the FO section and was attached to 1/327 for the remainder of my time. I was on the truck that hit a land mine on Highway 13 (Thunder Road) on Dec. 9, 65. I was proud to have served with the 1/327

I was in the 1/506th at Currahee in 1969. I read the account of the last days there. I too was on the last shit hook out of the base. Does anyone remember how hard it rained that day waiting for the shit hooks? And the puff that flew out perimeter the night before? I remember all of us huddling together when the rain set in and the choppers could not get us. I remeber being told to haul butt out the back side towards FSB Blaze I think it was if we got hit by ground. Then the rain cleared and the two shithooks came in, got us and took us back to evans. I went back to the world a few days later.

Love to talk to anyone else that was there that day.

I served July 68 to Augest 69. I was on the point team of the first squard of the first platoon of A Co. 2/327. I was lucky when they hit the front I was in the back, when they hit back I was in the front. Yesterday I looked at the google maps of Vietnam. I spent about an hour looking mostly at the areas along Hwy 1 recalling different experences some good some bad. Ill stop before this turns into a rant.
