It was an honor to serve with C 1/327th. We trained hard and it all paid off in An Najaf. I have tremendous respect for the warriors of the 327th. Honor and Country!

Welcome Home!!!! A greeting we never heard. Thank you for supporting each other and remembering those who did not come home. All we had was each other and as we get older it appears to remain the case, what we did and endured is slipping from memory. May God Bless us all, as he did to bring us Home.
I was a Rifleman in 2nd Platoon and RTO for Cpt Severn in D 1/327 July 1969 - July 1970.

The Brigade Combat Team and Regimental Colors are now deployed to Jalalabad Airfield in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is MAJ Jeff Kirby and I am the Rear Detachment Commander. If there is something I can do please send me an email. I enjoy staying in touch with our veterans and supporting the Soldiers and Families. I have been in the Brigade since 2007 and met several of you last summer when I was No Slack XO.

I was in the 2nd 327th Feb 71 till Oct 71 then was at the R&R; center Camp Eagle. Was in the Danang Airport 11-28-71. Talked to one of the guys from 1st/327th. He said they had been to stand down at Eagle beach and were on their way to Camp Eagle to pull perimeter guard. They were trying to get a C130 flight but all were supposedly full so they left on their way to the chopper pad behind the airport. I was about to go myself when the liason sgt caught me and said he had booked me seats on a C130 in about 30 minutes. I decided to wait and when I heard about it crashing I was stunned.

Would like to contact any of my Brothers who served with ABU Company 1/327 Vietnam 65/66. And have any information about the ambush we got caught in on March 4th 66, that cost the lives of my best friends Jim Scott and Harvey Jones. Due to injury my memory is very foggy.

I would like to recognize the men who served in the "No Slack" Bn 40 years ago, on Jun 10 1970. On this date, our battalion was attacked by the NVA at all fixed installations along QL1 with a Sapper attack on FSB Tomahawk. The men of Delta Co, those that were attached to us and C Bty, 2/11th FA successfully defended the FSB and dealt the NVA a heavy blow. Thanks to all who served bravely and with courage that night.
