I found a coin of sorts, it has ww1 ww2 Vietnam Iraq swa 327 airborne honor and country a few designs and a couple of crest like designs on one side, the other side has Bastogne Bulldogs NO SLACK 2/327 and various designs and was just curious about it.

Billy Dotellis, a friend of mine, passed away Oct. 25, 2012 (stroke). I believe he was in B co. 1/327 from May 66-May 1967 (one of first replacements troopers for the originals from Ft Campbell) and at Dak To. He was 66 yrs old. RIP ! I myself was in the 1/506 and the 3/506 '67-68 VN and Airborne Trooper.

I cannot help reflect in the Sunset years of my life the privilege it was serve with ALL the men in Tiger Force through the spring and part of the Summer of 1966 (Dak To). The hard part for me was to return to the UK (from whence I sprung!) where I was welcomed as an underserving hero but to see how the returning Viet Vets were treated when they came back to the USA broke my heart and still does. Perhaps that is why I admire you ALL so much more. Unique among men. See you in the next life - May that be in Heaven !

327th veterans -- 327th REGIMENTAL Scholarship
________________________________________
As many of you are aware, 9 years ago the 101st Airborne Association was able to award only $2,000 in Scholarships to deserving dependents and children of Association Members. This year, thanks to the efforts of members of the 101st Airborne Division Association, some $46,000 in Scholarships were awarded to sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters of members of the Association.
At the 101st Association Reunion in Nashville this past August Rick Lencioni, Chairman of the Scholarship Committee while announcing the 2012 Scholarhip winners, threw down a gauntlet and challenged all the Regiments to consider starting a REGIMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP. The veterans of the 327th has answered by establishing the 327th Regimental Scholarship fund to provide $$ to be awarded as scholarships each year.

But, as with any new, good idea you have to start somewhere. Hence this note and request that you consider sending a donation to help get the ball rolling. No amount is too small; $5, $10, $20, $101 whatever. It will all help in starting a 327th Regimental Scholarship to be awarded in 2013.

Your donation should be made out to the Screaming Eagle Foundation care of the
327th Regimental Scholarship Fund to:

Screaming Eagle Foundation
327th Regimental Scholarship Fund
PO Box 929
Fort Campbell, KY 42223

Thanks in advance for any and all support.

Fred Ranck, ABU, Dec 68-Jan 70

Was with B 2/327 when I turned 21 just before the 1968 election. I filled out my ballot in the rain atop a bunker guarding the railroad bridge that ran parallel Hwy 1. On a clear day were could see FB Tomahawk. Will see some of you next week in Las Vegas!

I'm looking for the person whose email address used to be tigergunr@hotmail.com. You have a picture of Berchtesgarden on the 1/327 web site and I'd like to use it in a book I've written about my 18 months as an EOD operator. My last five months was with the EOD team in Phu Bai and we supported the 101st on a daily basis. I was in and out of Berchtesgarden many times.

Looking for guys who were in C Co. 1/327 on 19 June 1969. Was wondering what FSB Tomahawk looked like after we were over run by the 4th NVA Regiment, 72nd Sapper Co. I was medevaced out and never saw the reults of that battle. My Plt. Sgt. was awarded the DSC that nite, not sure why, us grunts did all the fighting. Lt. was awarded the Silver Star for using the PRC 25 to call for help.
What a war, eh?
