On this Thanksgiving holiday weekend I want to give thanks to all I served with, and the brothers in arms that serve in Iraq, and Afghanistan today. Freedom is not free, but for the tremendous spirit of the American servicman, willing to give of his very life, that we might be free. I thank God for all of them, and pray that He Bless the United States of America, and those who lead us.

I had the distinct privilege of being the Plt Ldr of the 3rd Plt. of CO A from Oct. 1970 - Aug. 1971. The Company CO was Craig (Smoke) Trumbo for whom it was a privilege to serve. The men from the 3rd Platoon were a terrific group of men who served and sacrificed for each other and volunteered, without question or hesitation, to come to the rescue of comrades in trouble. (Remember the CA into the hot LZ on Easter, 1971). I hope the rest of you made it back to the "real world" after I left.
God Bless you and "Thanks"

A big thank you to Ted Gittinger. I had lost my Jump Mary a few years ago and was devistated. It had not left my neck since 1969. Ted worked with my wife so she could make this veterans day extra special. At breakfast yesterday a replacement was put around my neck thanks to Ted, my wife Joyce (who knew how much it meant to me), and also a big thanks to Hannabil who e-mailed me on how to get a replacement. Your some special people.
