A, E Companies 1967 – 1968
I joined the Army in March of 1966 three days after my 17th birthday. I retired as a Sergeant Major 11Z50 in April of 1989. Along the way I did a year with A & E 1/327 JUN 67 – Jun 68 RVN, 8 months with MACV Jun 67 – Feb 69, and a year with the 4th ID HHC and K-75 RGR Jan 70 – Dec 70. Besides RVN, 5 years at the 82nd and time with the 509th and 2/75 RGR.
Other assignments in Germany, Fort Lewis, Fort Dix and Fort Bliss. All in DMOS 11B,C,F,Z. Got a purple heart in the 101, but I was fortunate to retire without a disability.
I currently am a partner in Hall Insurance with my son Tom.
My hobbies are weight lifting, beer drinking, and hosting international exchange students, currently a German and a Brazilian girl. I live in Fort Worth Texas and am married to Denise. I have two grown sons and a 14 year old step son. Basically a career parent. I retired to enter single parenthood.
