A Company 1965 – 1966
Native of Knoxville, TN. I entered the Army March 1961. Attended Basic and AIT at Fort Benning, GA. Jump School at Fort Bragg and then assigned to A Co., 2nd ABG, 325th Inf. from Oct. ’61 – Mar. ’63. Then on to Fort Campbell and assigned to E Co., 2nd ABG 187th Inf. Moved to Co A-2/327 for deployment to Vietnam in July ’65 on the El Tinge. Back to Fort Bragg in ’66 and assigned to Co C-2/505 Inf. Deployed to Vietnam in Feb. ’68 with the 82nd.

Married high school sweetheart, Carolyn. Four children, three of four spent time in the military with two still serving. Six grand’s living in Kentucky where we are owners of a BBQ restaurant.
