Steve Baldwin, I served with B Co. / E Co./ Tiger Force; 1st 327th Dec 69 - Nov 70. I'm trying to locate a Sniper from 1st 327th. who might have gone to the field with my Tiger Force squad sometime in 70. I can't remember his name, something like Stuber or Stubin. Any information would be greatly appreciated... ATR/ NS
Many โBIG AIRBORNE THANKSโ to Dale Hansen and old confused GRUNT slog thru technology.
Just received my copy of the June 2022 Issue of Vietnam Magazine.
Of all the men who served wearing the 101st Patch and the thousands who died wearing it you did them a great disservice and dishonor by printing the story of Jimi Hendrix.
I served with the Division from 1963 until 1966 and served with the First Brigade in Vietnam 1965/1966. If you want names of men who the AMERICAN people should read about and remember contact me I'll send you the names of the men we lost.
Never have I bragged about Hendrix serving in the same Division, that part of the unit history doesn't need to be publicized.

I was member of B Company 1/327 1st BDE 101st ABN from Jan 1966 thru the end of August 1966 when my enlistment was up, and I went back to the states.
Jack Wayne Lindsey was also a member of B Company and he was killed at My Phu on 3rd March, 1966. He came over on the ship in July 1965.. Another member of B Company was named Riggs who came from the 82nd ABN with me. He was killed at My Phu 3rd March, 1966.
Michael Hartness was a member of B Company and he came as a replacement in April 1966
There were three men killed on an ambush that was screwed up, Clark, White, and Harmon on or about Feb. 21 or 22, 1966. This was in the deserted village of My Phu near Tuy Hoa.

I enlisted airborne infantry Oct. 67 after a good friend of mine
Lance Corporal Peter Penfold, was killed in the Quang Tri province, he saved my life in a car crash the year before.
I was assigned to the 101ST, 2nd Bat/327th Inf./ Co. D. in
April of 68. I eventually became the 2nd platoon RTO for LT. Dick Farr, whom I still talk to today, among other troopers. My second tour was with the 118th Helicopter Assault Co. in Bien Hoa.
I do talk to Dale once in a while and I want to commend him on a tremendous job getting the 101st. website back up and running. A lot of history and remembrance that should not be forgotten. NFS

I would like to get in touch with Dewright who posted in Dec. 2021 about an incident involving the artillery accident. I was with D Co. 1st /327th on a hill a few clicks away, heard the explosions and saw smoke. Then we heard it over the radio. I still think of it every year. My email is gfcsr1121@gmail.com.
In 1966 for about 5 months, I served with B-1-327th Infantry, 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, South Vietnam. I think the base camp may have been Tuy Hua. I was 22 years of age. I went through airborne training in July - August 1964, Fort Benning, Georgia. I was 19. My first duty station was with the signal company, 10th Special Forces, Flint Kaserne, Badt Toltz, Germany. The tour of duty was 3 years.
