I'm honored to have served in this storied regiment. This site will perpetuate the history of the 327th and unite all its brothers. Many thanks to its founders who are doing a great job. I expected no less from such fine men who are already proven masters of the art. .

Hello. My father, Troy Allen Frodge, was in Vietnam from 1970-1971 with 101st-2/327 No Slack (not sure what company). He was one of the cooks there and he has problems with remembering much from that time, he does remember delivering pizza's to some of you while under attack and a few other stories that he has shared with us. Lately, he's been trying to remember more information to where he was located in Vietnam and for this Christmas I would like to be able to tell him. If anyone remembers him or know where I can find some information please contat me at JeninaF@msn.com.

Thank you and
Have a Wonderful Christmas!!!

Great work on the web site. Very well done!

It was truly inspirational to watch 327th troopers walk point for the Screaming Eagles in the attack to liberate Najaf in March 2003 and to see the Bastogne Bulldogs do so magnificently throughout the first year of Operation Iraqi Freedom. And it was an honor to soldier with them in the Division that year.

Served in Tiger Force late November 1970 thru Feb/Mar 1971. Transferred to newly formed "Sky Hawks". Overall memory is vague, however some memories are as vivid as yesterday. Remember the night 12/24/70 I was RTO in bush when "friendly" fire hit unit in bush. Multiple deaths. Next day our Christmas dinner arrived by chopper in body bags. Remember "Blue"; Sgt. Clancy/Yancy? Bear; Doc Watson? Remember Bob Hope Christmas show @ Camp Eagle. Remember first mission walking off Bastogne. Remember losing resupply by being kicked from chopper and landing in river. Remember mission extended with no food. Remember fishing with hand grenades and eating fish, unpolished rice and catchup! What would booney food be like without catchup, dehydrated onions and green peppers? Remember cooking with C4 to make LRRP rations. Oh the days! How I miss them. I remember drying my socks over a heat tab on a stick while sitting under a pancho liner face to face with a buddy! I remember the rain! I remember the mountains! I remember the rain! Four months and no sun! I remember two typhoons! I remember kit carson scouts! I remember many things! It has been many years, but I remember!

I am looking for any pictures or other information anyone may have that includes Al Jonsen (Thor). He was a Platoon Leader in A Company 2/327 - 1967-1968 the same time I was the Third Platoon Leader and XO of B Company. Al died in a in a plane crash in Alaska in 1988 and I have been in contact with his wife. Any help from you guys would be appreciated. His wife said Al felt his tour in Viet Nam with the First Brigade of the 101st was one of the greatest things he ever did. Nothing but great memories....NFS.....Larry

ABU Bro's,
I have contacted Jerry "Injun" Rorvik. He currently lives in Nashua, MT - East of Glasgow. He is alive and well. He remembered the names of a lot of the other ABU's from the time. He was with Alpha thru Jan. 1971 to the end of 1971. He had been in contact with Juan "Chili Pepper" Garza, also. His phone number is 406-367-9352. He doesn't have a computer so no email address at this time.

I went to the first reunion since I got out of Viet Nam in 1969 and it was the best thing I have done in my life. I encourage others to get back with their true, real friends, you will be astonished how it will make you feel!! Thanks to Phil Dow for getting me there. Now we, in Delta company are trying to find others and without some sort of roster from 1968 to 1969 we are having a hard time finding real names not nick names as we remember. Any ideas out there?
