My Dad is Budda Logan and I am so glad that I stumbled across this site. Dad was in the 1st Battalion 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He served in Viet Nam from 1967-1968.

Looking for anyone who served/knew my Dad, Horace Paul "Smitty" Smith (he was an American citizen raised in England with a British accent) - came over on the Eltinge in July 65 and WIA March 9, 1966 - finished out his tour in hospitals in Japan and then to stateside. He passed away March 23, 1992 and we miss him everyday! Thank you, each of you, who served our great country, the United States of America! I, his oldest son, served in the Army myself.

Wonderful site. My grandmother's brother, PFC Francis D. McAtamney, Lilly Pa served in this unit. Only through finding this site and roster did I find out that he was severely wounded by MG fire on Oct 18 1918.
Thank you for recording the history of these men all throughout our history.
