Anyone remember Firebase Henry(?) Very temporary on HWY 547 on the way to Bastogne and points west. Anyone remember Charger firing off that silly-assed CS launcher that ended up getting all of us with gas from across the river?

At times I almost forget serving with the battalion because of the anger I harbored for being pulled from SF to go to RVN with the 1st BDE. I had just graduated sfgt, just got my full flash...I was pissed. Anyway, there are other times...times like these past few weeks when I can't forget that time. on 27 October, 1967, B/2/327 got into trouble. my platoon, the 1st, was hit very hard. for 6 long hours we were under the gun...until tiger force came, yelling. "no slack" so we wouldn't fire them up. I remember every man we lost that day and every one who lived. It is at times like these that the pride of being airborne and a member of 2/327, displaces my anger and allow me to honor my brothers. NO SLACK!

It has been years since I last posted in the ?327th Guest Book?, but I am always coming here to see if people I knew in Nam are posting, so I can contact them. This post is for a friend of mine. On Veterans Day I was playing golf with someone I had worked with for eighteen years. I asked him if he was a veteran and he said no, but his brother had been killed in Vietnam in January 1966. It surprised me when I ask who his brother had been with and he said the 101st Airborne. When I asked for more detail he was unable to provide it. When I got home that night I looked his brother?s name up on the 327th website. It kind of took me back when I saw his brother had been with the 2/327th Bn ?C? Company. This was the same company I had been attached to, as a medic, a year and half after his brother?s death. It is indeed a small world. The reason I am posting today is to see if any of you Brothers remember Warren ?Everret? Phillips. His birth brother would be interested in communicating with anyone remembering Warren. Warren was from Oskaloosa, Iowa and his picture is posted on our website. If you would please contact me I?ll see Warren?s brother, Dave, gets the message.

No Slack
