I was among the orginal group who formed up the 3-506th in April 1967 and deployed with the battalion in Oct. 1967. We were assigned to the 1st Brigade. I became our battalion first PIO. I would like very much to find Maj. Billy Spangler (1st Brigade PIO Officer 1967/68; SSG Art Campbell (PIO and NCO at the Phan Range PIO Lab back in 67/68), 1Lt. Barry C. Hana, SP4 Ben Croxton, Pfc. Robert Mosey, SP4 James Nelson, and some of the other PIOs from the other battalions who I got to know pretty well back then. If anyone can put me in touch with any of these fine troopers, please contact me. We will be holding our 10th Anniversary 3-506th Reunion in Reno, NV this coming July 18-23 at the Sands Regency Hotel. We would sure like to see any of our sister battalions come and join us. Details can be found on the Stand Alone Battalion website mentioned above. If you need anything from our PX/Gift Shop, give me a yell.
One last request. I have attempted to collect a copy of every issue of the Screaming Eagle newspapers published in Vietnam. I am missing a few issues after mid 1968. If any of you have issues, please contact me. I am planning to have another book of issues published later this year and sure would like to add the few issued I'm missing. Let me know which issues you have. I have all the published "Rendezvous With Destiny? Magazines and the two Year Books (1967/68 & 1969) available on CDs in the Gift Shop.

Remember my friend, Sgt Dennis Flanagan killed January 20, 2006 by a road side bomb. He decided to re-up so he can teach the soldiers since he was the old man of the group and had already been to Iraq before. He was 22. Love, loyalty and friendship. Right to the end. He gave all.
