My uncle sp4 /Sgt.David Lynn Willett served in the 2/327 67-68. Carried the M60 most days. Stories he told me one had to do with the BN CMD had a brief case fall out of chopper had to go look for it. Also was another about him riding on the skid of a chopper and someone got nervous and rushed to unload from chopper knocking my uncle off skid and to the ground 25ft up got wind knocked out of him no serious injury from that. Anyone that knew him please contact me.

VERY NICE SITE. I served with the 2/502 1brg, The Widow Makers. From June15 1967 to Jan.19 1969.ALL IN THE FIELD m60 gunner. LUCKY TO HAVE MADE IT HOME, ALL of us. The unlucky are not with us any more.. At least in person IN SPIRIT ALWAYS, But we have cheap Nike shoes now, 60,000 lost. We should have just built them a factory, and gave it to them instead. I wounder if they put it in THE A Shau valley.

I was in 3/327 from Jan 2000 until Jun 2006. I was then in 1/327 from Jun 2006 thru Jan 2007. I just want to say how much I respect all the veterans from WWII and Vietnam I have met from 1st Brigade (327th INF). I have done three combat tours to Iraq and now have an even more greater appreciation for them. God Bless

I was in Nam aug 70 aug 71, E company 2/327 mortars. Nick name Buddha. while in Nam, I got a Huey tail rotor chain. I have worn it for over 34 years. the only times it has come off my wrist was if it needed some TLC. been through several operations. the docs said take it off. I say it doesnt come off. my shrink at the VA says its my guilt from Nam. maybe it is but now it is in bad shape. I have been at the flightline at Fort Campbell during the last reunion and asked all the mechanics it they have a piece of chain. none of the crews had one. I have contacted many other places but none had any. I am asking if my brothers know of anyone who may have a piece of of rotor chain. I need about 8 inches. it would mean a lot to me and my guilt to find the chain. if anyone has a piece call my home 973 839 2208 Thanks Welcome home

I just droped in to say hi and I am still alive,
but then nothing ever changes about me. I am still alone and PTSD is some kind of mixed nuts.
but all is not what it seems to be ? I am still
dug in deep behind the wire. I told my wife if I and when I make my last stand-to, just dump me
in my foxhole and fill it in. Its hard to believe
I am going to be 61 years old .I just busted the wife down to E-1 again.she just cant get the C-Rats right. some where out there is the rest of C Copany . 1/37th. .stay cool and dont take no wooden Bullets

Kelly Boyles is an example of all that is good and decent in this country. Thank you Kelly for raising a fine son who bravely put his life on the line; God bless you! Her son can always have the satisfaction that when duty called, he answered with the support of his family! John Luke Boyle and his brothers in arms will always be "Above The Rest"! I have always been proud to have served in RVN 68, with 2/327th CoB...No Slack!
