I was Corporal E-4. Artillery Crew Chief on M107 175 mm self propelled gun. Attached to 101st as Recon Sgt. at FSB Bastogne. Took First Field Forces Forward Observer Training Course, March 1968 in Anh Khe, home of 1st Air Cav. Was with 6 Bn 32 Arty at time. At FSB Bastogne, was with C Btry, 8 BN 4 Arty. May 17, 1968 until battery relocated to Dong Ha (Late July I believe) Stayed at Bastogne to secure perimeter with three other men. Lasted a week or two until replacement artillery group moved in. Remember meeting nightly with a Colonel from 101st Airborne. He had nasty abdominal scars. He was commanding officer of FSB Bastogne at the time I believe.

Should be wintering in Poinciana Florida sometime in December. Not far from you.
