Comments: My Husband was John Arthur Ansell, Jr. He went over on 12/21/67 from Ft. Benning, was a member of A, 2/327th. He was killed on May 2, 1968 but actually marked MIA for 7 weeks till they could go back for his body. He had just turned 19 2 weeks earlier (I was 17 then) and the child we were expecting then is now a 32 year old "boy" who is John IIIrd. John was friends with George Murphy, I don't know names of others. I have some pictures from back then (the old polariods) I would like to submit

Comments: I just today (Oct. 13, 2000) was notified by Arthur Smith (B 1/327 Oct./65-Dec/'66) of the death of CSM(R) Joe Dayoc on Oct. 9, 2000. The miltary funeral was on Oct. 12. When we went out to Nam in '65 Dayoc was 1st Sgt. of A 1/327 and later, '68-'69, 1st Sgt of D 1/327. He is well remembered by many 327 troopers and for those who would like to send condolences to his family the address is: 7708 Cedar Hollow Ct. Fern Creek, KY 40291. Joe had been in poor health for several years suffering from heart disease as well as black lung disease, which was the result of his younger, pre-Army days as a coal miner in the Scranton, PA area.

Comments: Does anyone remember Sp4 John Cimorelli, from Philadelphia, PA, B Co., 1/327 - tour dates: 3/30/68 - 6/18/68 John's MOS was 11C20. He was wounded in an NVA ambush 6/16/68 at Yd. 466077, A Shau near the Rao Nho, Thua Thien province - I think he was out with D Co. at the time & several were wounded. He died 2 days later. Please contact me if you remember him - you might have known him as JC.

Comments: Looking good!! I like the idea of a site that looks at the positive side and still supports our troups even with a defecive commander in chief. (am I alowed to say that?) I served with the 3rd Radio Research Unit in Viet Nam in 1965 - 1966 in suport of the 173 abn. Parts of my unit did support the 101st in Viet Nam. As a lifer, 1950 - 1971, I served mostly with 18th abn corps(313th ASA Bn), the 82nd, and the 10th Special Forces in Bad Tolz Germany. Keep up the good work, Bob

Comments: In Country transfer from 9th Infantry Division Pathfinder Detachment, May 1967. With Tiger Force until December '67, then extented for HHC 1st 327 Mortar Plt. (4.Duce) Was on Fire Base Hawthorne on 19 March, '67, (less than two weeks short)...When Marine Jets accidently dropped three 500 LBS Block Busters on our TAC-CP. Two killed, twelve or more wounded. I retired on 2 January 1992, at Fort Stewart, Georgia. I currently work full time doing Vacant Quarters Maintence on Fort Hood, Texas. Airbor
