Entered the Army in 1962. First assignment was at Ft. Campbell with 506th ABN BG from 62-64. Rejoined the Screaming Eagles, 1st BDE at Duc Pho in May 67. With No Slack Battalion from July to February. Commanded A Co from late December 67 to Feb 5 68 when I was wounded near Hue. Returned to Screaming Eagles in August 72, served with and helped stand down 1-502 Infantry. Remained in Army serving with SF and 82d ABN DIV. Retired from Army in 1987.
