Bob died several years ago from wounds received in Vietnam during Troung Luong. He had a son and a daughter. Bob arrived in country around 1-66 and was a machine gunner with A/2/327. Took a piece of metal in the heart lining, which could not be removed. The medicine used to handle the pain killed the liver, removing Bob. Masters, Montgomery and myself attended his funeral and pinned wings and CIB on him prior to the service.
