My name is IT1(EXW/SW) Christina Carlton and I wanted to find out how to get my dad, Guion Earl Gould, added to your page for B Co., 2nd Bn., 327 Inf. I am very interested in locating men that were in the same company or battalion as my dad and see if they have any pictures of him/life or stories about their experiences.
Fortunately, it seems like my dad’s mom kept all of his letters from the time he joined the Army till he was discharged. Wish she had kept all of his photos that he sent home. Unfortunately, dad passed away a couple of years ago and I’m spending my rainy Saturady reading those letters. Just got to the one where he’s touched down in Okinawa and has found out that he’s been assigned to B Co., scheduled to meet up with the group the next day, 1/23/1969.
I thought you might like the pics. Hope you can add them to the website. Please let me know who might be able to tell me a bit more about dad’s time with B Co and his experiences. Thank you.
