Your brother, Dominick “Nick” Fondo, A CO 1/327th has joined his departed brothers. His heart stopped last Saturday , September 16, 2023. I gave a eulogy last night; he is one of those heroes on whose shoulders I stand. I am proud of ALL of you that served in the ‘Nam.

I was with the 509th in Germany and Re-enlisted to go to Nam Abn unassigned. Was reassigned with the 101st and received CIB at Tuy-Hoa. Was later hit with shrapnel, very minor injury at Kontum. Then was hit hard at Dak-To in June of 66. Served with Abu 1/327th as 3rd Plt Machine Gunner. Hosp in Japan for ’bout 8 months reassigned to Korea, then reassigned to 82nd at Bragg.
