My name is Willie Brown. I was one of the Plt. Sgt. in the company. I stepped on a mine on Nov. 3, 1968. We left Hill 88 that night, the only night operation we made. “We have 200 NVA in the pass between Danang, and Phu Bai.” That’s what we were told before we moved out. I stepped on a mine at daylight the next morning.
