Entered the United States Army in March of 1966 at Ft. Ord California then on to Ft. Sam Houston, Texas for A I T and Jump School in Georgia and volunteered for Vietnam with the 1st Bde 101st ABN.

Served in Vietnam from September 1966 to May 14, 1967.

After P-training was assigned to the HHC 1/327 Inf and was attached to the 3rd Plt of A Co 1/327 Inf. Up at Duc Pho while on a search and destroy mission was wounded in an ambush that had 7 KIA and 34 WIA. at a place known to ABU as “Mothers Day Hill.” Retired from the United States Army for wounds received.

Graduated from Diablo Valley College and Humboldt State University in California with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Visual Arts with a Standard Lifetime Teaching Credential in Art Education.

Married in 1969 to Patricia and we have two children Jeff and Michell; Michell has two little girls Myah and Emma and Jeff has a new born named Connor.

White, Doc Smyth, Steve Black, Eppy, S/Sgt Birmingham, Benito Gonzales, Mike Bost, Skip, Gary Clark, Salomon Kalua, Mike Goshen, Tommy Coefied, Turner, Small, Kasavage, Lucky, Mac, Sgt. Rowland, Gurezzaous, Noblen Anderson, Gabby, Jimmy Smith, Browne, Louis Lamana, Gerhardt, LaSalle, Sgt Fowler and Sgt Brown, Patterson, Mike McCoullugh, Mark Stringer, Cris Argo, Jerry Baker, Mike Gatts, Friz, and Gary Prather.”

Some of the men above were KIA, a few have since died from being hit by a drunk driver or their PTSD had a tight grip and their tired souls went to heaven.
