Subject: DA PAM 672–3 Unit Citation and Campaign Participation Credit Register
Attached is the DA referenced earlier in the week. It covers 1960-1987, which should be a great reference for Vietnam-era veterans to pinpoint which unit citations they may be entitled to. I know from past stories that many veterans unknowingly earned medals they did not know they were entitled to, an even greater amount may have left service long before a unit citation was awarded for combat action, as the process often takes years after the fact to be approved. Please have this posted on the website for everyone to use.

AR 670-1 p.29–6b. U.S. unit awards. A unit award is given to an operating unit and is worn by members of that unit who participated in the cited action.
Unit awards listed on the Awards and Decorations website have been approved and/or will be announced in Department of the Army General Orders (DAGO). In accordance with paragraph 7-8c, Personnel Service Battalions, Military Personnel Divisions and Branch Managers may use listings obtained from this site to update Soldiers records. Copies of DAGOs are not added to soldiers OMPFs and are not necessary to update records.
