03-71 to 4-72. Brought the unit and colors from Vietnam back to Ft Campbell KY, 4-72
Stayed with A Co 1/327 until 01-74 then DEROS to Alaska.
My MOS was 11B with a secondary of 76Y. I was assigned to HHC as the CIF NCO, A job I continued to do until DEROS to Alaska. AT the end of the units time in Vietnam I was part of a 101 men special detail sent to San Mateo CA. KNOWN AS The Adopted Sons of San Mateo.
I am airborne qualified and a LRRP Ranger from my first tour in Vietnam, 66-67. I am also Recondo number 26 trained by MACV 5th Special Forces under Delta Project. I served 22 years before retiring. I even went back thru AIT after 12 years as 11B4SP and became a Huey Helicopter Mechanic, 67N
Today I am almost retired. I stay busy and still fly as a private pilot. I am 78 and have no reason to stop getting up everyday.
