I was in Hawk 11. Joined the unit end of July. Team leader was Winslow.

Jump School Inmates – we were the last class and then they started forming to 1st CAV.

Went to Ft. Campbell.  Ended up as a Rigger Light Pack.

Went to Tuy Hoa, met with Sgt Major.  He asked me what my MOS was, I said Rigger. He said no use for that. My secondary MOS was truck driver. He said we don’t have trucks.  Your choice Infantry or Recon.  I took Recon and that first night I was on a mission.
